We have 3 Beautiful Park Destinations

1. Chumash Park, Agoura Hills  (9 miles away, primary destination) 
2. Forest Cove Park, Agoura Hills (8 miles away)
3. Russell Park, Westlake Village (6 miles away)

The lovely Chumash Park has beautifully groomed grass with nice trees. It is ideal for dog walking / individual fetching / playing / socializing / relaxing. Sometimes, we use Forest Cove Park, Agoura Hills or Russell Park, Westlake Village. Both of these are also beautifully groomed, large grass parks with trees. 

We offer the following services at our Park Outings:

1. The Park Adventure begins with a 30 minute leashed walk among the trees on beautiful, soft groomed grass. Fresh air, great smells, and the fun of dog pals walking together and exploring the park. A stroller cart is pushed during our walk for both handicapped dogs and also, in case one of our guests becomes tired.
2. After the walk, we have 15 minutes of  individual fetching with a personal fetch-ball and a personal frisbee-fetch-ring. Our fetching distance ranges from 20 feet for little dogs to 150 feet for strong, athletic dogs. A special bungee-fetch-leash is connected to each dog’s harness. Our pals enjoy watching this fetching and can’t wait until it’s their turn.
3. Next, we have dog socializing and playtime. There will be plenty of playing on the park grass, both with us and also among the dogs. Small dogs are grouped with small dogs. If your dog is not interested in fetching, we will play chase with him / her in a 20 foot section of the park grass. We also have personal badminton-birdie play. This is very popular with the little dogs. All dogs love to exercise while playing!
4. Cool, fresh water is provided to each dog in a personal, disposable water dish.
5. We offer an individual personal beach towel to relax on, or If you wish, your dog can relax on the groomed grass.
6. Our guests love introducing themselves and mingling with each other.
7. Some dogs that are full of energy will receive more fetching, and also, some runs between our staff. Always on a fetch-leash, this is your dog’s cardio time.
8. Each dog lets us know when they are tired. They simply lay down. This is our signal that it is time for him / her to relax and enjoy the beauty of the park.

During the hot months of July, August, September and during heat waves, it is important for your dog to get outdoors and have needed exercise. You can count on our safe service for these hot days. Your precious dog will be picked-up at your home and driven 15 miles to the very nice Pitts Ranch Park, Camarillo (15 miles away, 14° cooler). 

FEE: $60 -  Heat Escape Treat to Pitts Ranch Park, Camarillo (additional dogs 50$). If the temperature is too hot in Camarillo, then we go to cool Oxnard State Beach Park. 

HEAT ESCAPE TO PITTS RANCH PARK, CAMARILLO

• Afternoon summer temperatures in Camarillo are much cooler than the Sherwood Neighborhood.
• Outing begins with a fun and exciting 15 mile van ride, among dog pals to Pitts Ranch Park.
• Heat Escape trips to Pitts Ranch Park, Camarillo are extended 15 minutes, to 1 hour and 15 minutes.
• More time at this ideal temperature park for dogs to: Play (between themselves and with us) / Socialize / Relax 
• A stroller cart is pushed during the 30 minute opening walk in case your dog gets tired.
• After the walk, we have individual fetching with a personal fetch ball, personal frisbee ring, personal badminton birdie.
• We set up 2 dog tunnels to play in.
• For dogs that do not want to fetch, we will play chase in a 20 foot area on the groomed grass.
• Little dogs are grouped together.
• We will follow your instruction on how much desired walking.
• So nice for your dog to be outdoors on hot summer afternoons.
• It is important on hot summer days to still get needed exercise. 
• We want your dog fit, healthy, happy and safe
• Any stress or boredom in your dog will disappear.
• While in our care, your dog will be closely watched to make sure he / she is safe, comfortable and having a great time.
• We want each dog to have a wagging tail.
• A personal beach towel is provided for each dog to relax on.
• If we see your dog lay down, then we know it is time to relax.
• When the temperature forecast in Camarillo is going to be too hot, we go to the amazing and cool Oxnard State Beach Park. Here, the temperatures is 21° cooler. Dogs love it !

After this wonderful summer outing, your dog will return to you so relaxed ! Such a wonderful escape from the summer heat.

TIME IN OUR CARE FOR OXNARD STATE BEACH PARK: Please allow 3 hours and 15 minutes to 2 hours and 45 minutes from the time we pick up your dog until he / she is returned to you. This allows time for pick-ups, 25 minute drive to the park, 90 minutes at the park, return drive, drop-offs.

(Higher fee is only for Oxnard State Beach Park, Summer Outings)

• At the amazing, 20° cooler, Oxnard State Beach Park (Summer afternoon highs are generally from 66° to 72°), 60 acres of groomed, green grass, 400 palm trees and a 2 minute stroll to a beautiful, sandy ocean beach for a dog walk (permitted here in Ventura County). 
• Time at the park: 90 minutes at the park & beach, (15 minutes longer) / 30 miles & 40 minute longer drive to the park. Your dog can now exercise while having a great adventure on hot summer days!

HEAT ESCAPE — July, August, September & Heat Waves 

$60 Pitts Ranch Park, Camarillo, 75 minute outing (15 miles away, 14° cooler)

$70 Oxnard State Beach Park, 90 minute outing (34 miles away, 20° cooler)

• Camarillo & Oxnard are used when there are heat waves.

Camarillo is our first choice. If the forecast expects hot weather in Camarillo, then we go to the cool Oxnard State Beach Park.  

The amazingly beautiful Oxnard State Beach Park has 60 acres of groomed grass with 400 palm trees. 50 yards from the grass park are the sand dunes with a short 200 yard trail to the open beach. Here in Ventura County, leashed dogs are allowed and welcomed on the beach. Our dog guests will stand on the soft, sandy beach for a couple minutes, gazing out at the beautiful ocean, listening and watching the waves roll in, feeling a gentle breeze and smelling fresh, cool, ocean air. We push a special beach stroller cart with balloon tires during this brief and slow, beach stroll. It is available for handicapped or tired dogs. Within 15 minutes, our dog guests will have returned to the groomed, green grass park. We then begin our adventurous walk on the large, open grass among the 400 palm trees. 

ACTIVITIES: 

• Walking / Fetching / Running / Playing / Socializing / Relaxing.
• We set up an agility course on the park grass with cones, 2 dog tunnels, 3 inch & 9 inch hurdles. 
• We provide individual fetching with a personal fetch-ball, personal frisbee-ring, personal badminton birdie. Our little guys love to play with the badminton birdie. 
• For dogs that have no interest in fetching, we will play chase in a 20 foot circle on the grass. 
• We will play with our dogs and the dogs will play and mingle among themselves. 
• Each dog will have their own personal beach towel to relax on. 
• Little dogs are grouped together.
• Fresh, cool water is provided to each dog in a disposable dish.

We want this very safe outing to be a special and wonderful day for your dog. Riding in the van together, having an adventurous walk, exercising outdoors and having a good workout, playing and mingling with his / her buddies while escaping the heat is such a treat. Your dog will return to you so happy and relaxed.
